The multiplier myth
A persistent rumour claims that Blooket Plus gives subscribers a token multiplier or a higher daily cap. This is false. The 3× token multiplier has been permanent for every player since January 26, 2023, it is not a Plus feature and it was never gated behind a subscription. The 500-token daily gameplay cap applies equally to all players regardless of tier.
If you read that Plus "gives 3× tokens" or "doubles your cap," that source was wrong. Do not factor a non-existent multiplier into a purchase decision.
What Plus actually gives you
Here is the complete verified feature list for Blooket Plus (sourced from the Blooket Wiki, cross-checked May 2026):
| Feature | Who benefits |
|---|---|
| +10 per game for students in the subscriber's hosted session | Students (not the buyer) |
| Enhanced game reports and analytics | Teacher / host |
| Early access to events and Plus-only game modes (Egg Hunt, Laser Tag, Star Grazer, etc.) | Subscriber |
| Copy and merge question sets | Teacher / host |
| Folders for question-set organisation | Teacher / host |
| Audio recording on questions | Teacher / host |
| Homework deadlines up to 365 days (vs 14 on free) | Teacher / host |
| Larger live games, up to 300 players (vs 60 on free) | Teacher / host |
| Priority support | Subscriber |
Count the rows: seven of nine benefits are explicitly teacher-facing. The one token-adjacent perk goes to the studentsin the hosted game, not to the subscriber's pack budget.
Break-even as a student
If a teacher in your class has Plus, you receive +10 per hosted game. At $4.99/month for Plus, the teacher would need to host enough sessions that you individually extract value. But the subscriber is not you, they are paying for classroom tools, and the +10 is a side-effect, not the point.
If you are a student whose teacher has Plus and you play in 20 hosted games a month, you gain 200 extra per month, roughly 10 cheap packs. That is a real gain, but it costs you nothing and you cannot control it. It is not a reason to buy Plus yourself.
For a student buying Plus themselves: the only tangible token benefit disappears. You get the Plus-exclusive game modes and early event access, but not the +10 student bonus (that only flows when a Plus-holding teacher hosts). The subscription makes no sense as a token-earning strategy for a student acting alone.
Want to translate that 200-token monthly bonus into actual chase progress? The ROI calculator nets the resell recovery against the spend, and the broader blooket calculatorturns any token total into a 50/90/99% pack budget for whichever Blook you're chasing.
Who it makes sense for
- Teachers who host 5+ sessions a week: Yes. The classroom management tools, reports, folders, merge/copy, 300-player rooms, 365-day deadlines, are real quality-of-life wins. The student token bonus is a bonus, not the reason to buy.
- Students who want Plus-exclusive game modes: Borderline. Egg Hunt, Laser Tag, and Star Grazer are only in Plus. If those modes are a priority, the subscription delivers. Do not expect it to accelerate pack collection.
- Collectors saving for a seasonal Chroma window: Only useful if you are already in a teacher's Plus-hosted games. If you are, every hosted game session dumps 10 extra tokens into your balance, bank those during the run-up to a Lovely, Lucky, or Spring window.
- Cap-hitting solo grinders: Not worth it. You already hit 500 tokens from gameplay without Plus, and Plus does not raise that ceiling. There is nothing here for you on the token side.
Plus vs Plus Flex
Blooket currently offers three tiers: Starter (free), Plus (~$4.99/mo or $59.88/year), and Plus Flex (~$9.99/mo). Plus Flex is aimed at educators who need additional flexibility, not at players looking for extra tokens. Group plans with discounts are available for schools.
For any student deciding purely on pack-economy value: neither paid tier changes your earn rate, your cap, or your pack odds. Save the subscription fee and put it toward tokens if you have that option. The best use of Plus in a student context is as a side-effect of having a Plus teacher, not as something you pay for yourself.
