Resell Strategy

Selling duplicates is the main way to stretch a token budget. The catch is that selling indiscriminately costs you Blook Score and collection completion. Here's the breakdown of what each rarity is actually worth and when to hold instead.

Resell value by rarity

Sell values scale roughly with rarity. Community-sourced values (the same data the calculators use) land in these ranges per duplicate:

RaritySell value per duplicateRough % of a 20-token pack
Common1 – 3 5–15%
Uncommon3 – 815–40%
Rare8 – 1540–75%
Epic25 – 40125–200%
Legendary60 – 150300–750%
Chroma500 – 2,0002,500–10,000%

The honest headline: on a 20-token pack, the expected combined sell value per opening (rate × value, summed across rarities) lands somewhere around 50–60% of the pack cost. That's where the "resell recovers about half" heuristic comes from.

Always-sell duplicates

Sell without thinking about it:

  • Common and Uncommon duplicates past the first one. They don't add meaningful Blook Score and the tokens recovered immediately help the next pack.
  • Rare duplicates past the first one. Same logic: low incremental score, decent recovery.
  • Epic duplicates past the first or second. One kept for collection, one spare for gameplay unlocks, and the rest are tokens.

Always-keep duplicates

Don't sell these even when tempted:

  • Your first of every rarity tier. Core collection slot.
  • Any Legendary or Chroma you don't already have. Score gain here is large, and dupe pulls within a chase run are the only way most people accumulate them.
  • Mystical and Unique Blooks. Often irreplaceable once the window closes.

Break-even recovery rate

When resell is fully enabled, what is the true effective pack cost? For each pack: expected duplicates × per-duplicate sell value, summed across all rarities. The calculator on this site does this automatically when you toggle the resell switch, but the rule of thumb is that 20-token packs net down to roughly 8–10 tokens per pack, and 25-token packs to roughly 11–13.

That nets your 50% and 90% chase budgets down by roughly half. The ROI calculator shows the exact number for your current pack and balance.

Common resell questions

Does selling a Legendary hurt my Blook Score?

Yes, permanently. Blook Score counts each unique Blook you currently own, weighted by rarity. Selling a Legendary you only have one copy of removes its score contribution entirely. A single Legendary can represent dozens of pack openings worth of score. Only sell a Legendary if you already have at least one other copy, and even then think twice before badge tiers are locked in.

Should I sell during a chase run or wait until the end?

Sell as you go. Waiting until the end of a long run to sell duplicates means your effective token balance during the run is lower than it needs to be, which may force you to stop and re-grind. Selling each session's duplicates right after opening puts those tokens back into the next session's pack budget immediately.

What's the best Common sell value I can expect?

Commons return 1–3 per duplicate. At scale, say, 200 duplicate Commons from a long Legendary run, that adds up to 200–600 , or 10–30 extra packs at 20 each. Small per-unit, meaningful in aggregate. Never skip selling them just because the individual number looks small.

Does the daily token cap apply to resell income?

No. The 500-token daily cap applies to tokens earned from gameplay (correct answers in game modes). Tokens you receive from selling Blooks are credited directly to your balance and are not capped. This matters for long runs: you can earn 500 tokens from playing and then sell another few hundred tokens' worth of duplicates in the same day without hitting any limit.
